How We Started

Smile Agenda Foundation (SAF) has a humble beginning rooted in a heartfelt desire to make a difference in the lives of underprivileged children. The foundation was initially conceived as the Touch a Life Foundation after a poignant encounter with three primary school children who were visibly struggling due to their impoverished circumstances. This encounter left a lasting impact, prompting Ms. Philomena Owusu and her friend to make a promise to help children in their communities if they were ever able to do so.

Commited Hearts Joined The Cause

After years of nurturing this dream, the founder of TAF felt a strong urge to turn her vision into reality.

A group of passionate and committed individuals came together to form the foundation, with the primary goal of eliminating poverty through education and promoting educational equality for all.

The foundation's first official gathering took place in January 2017, and their inaugural project at the Accra Psychiatry Children's ward followed shortly after in May/June 2017. These early initiatives laid the groundwork for the foundation's future endeavors
