Smile Agenda Foundation Spreads Joy and Knowledge in Mosiaso Dwomoh

In a heartwarming display of generosity and educational support, the Smile Agenda Foundation (SAF) recently visited Mosiaso Dwomoh Methodist JHS and Mosiaso Dwomoh Presby JHS in Anyinam, Ghana. The event, titled “Write with Smiles 2024,” aimed to empower students and promote academic excellence.

The foundation’s volunteers, led by a team of distinguished guests, including Hon. Mrs. Comfort Amponsah, Hon. Gabriel Napoleon, Hon. Charles Ofosu Appiah, Hon. Dena Dotse, Hon. David Attipoe, Hon. Kofi Anyanor, Hon. Isabella Amenowudo, Hon. Mrs. Christiana Dzah, Hon. Prince Baah, Hon. Donna Appiah, and Hon. Stephanie Aba Amissah, arrived at the schools with a mission to inspire and support the students.

The event commenced with a warm welcome from Madam Theodora Odame and the host Reverend Minister in charge of the Presbyterian church. The program kicked off at 10:30 am with an opening prayer led by the Reverend Minister, followed by introductions and an overview of SAF’s initiatives by Hon. Isabella Amenowudo.

The highlight of the event was the engaging presentations on BECE preparation by Hon. David Attipoe, which sparked lively discussions and a Q&A session with the students. The students’ enthusiasm and curiosity were evident as they eagerly participated in the interactive session.

To further support the students’ academic journey, the foundation presented essential items such as 69 out of 77 mathsets, 48 sanitary pads, and two boxes of novels to the schools. The donations were received by the head teachers, who expressed their gratitude for the thoughtful gesture.

The event also featured a video message from SAF’s CEO, Ms. Philomena Owusu which was projected to the beneficiaries, adding to the sense of connection and inspiration.

As the event drew to a close, Hon. Charles Ofosu Appiah and Hon. David Attipoe presented certificates of participation to each school, recognizing their commitment to education. The Reverend Minister offered a closing prayer at 1:40 pm, followed by refreshments for all attendees.

Despite the rain, the Smile Agenda Foundation’s team remained steadfast in their mission, waiting patiently until the weather cleared before departing Mosiaso at 3:15 pm.

The “Write with Smiles 2024” event was a testament to the Smile Agenda Foundation’s dedication to empowering students and fostering a love for learning. By providing educational resources, mentorship, and a supportive environment, SAF continues to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners in Ghana.
