In 2018, the Smile Agenda Foundation was dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of underprivileged individuals across different communities. Here’s a glimpse of some of the notable activities and initiatives carried out by the foundation.
January 2018: Widows and Children Granted Assistance
The foundation extended a helping hand to a widow and her children in Korlegonno, Accra. A variety of essential items, such as clothing, food supplies, school uniforms, shoes, school bags, toiletries, and provisions, were generously donated, providing much-needed support to this family during a challenging time.
May 2018: Empowering BECE Candidates
As part of the “Agenda Write with Smiles 2018” project, the Smile Agenda Foundation hosted a workshop for the BECE candidates of Pokuase Methodist JHS 1&2. This included the donation of 150 essential mathematical sets, equipping the students with vital tools for their academic pursuits.
September 2018: Nurturing Academic Brilliance Among Needy Students
The “Smiles of Hope 2018” initiative, conducted in partnership with Readhere Livehere Foundation and iBelieve Foundation, saw the generous donation of educational materials to five brilliant yet financially needy students in selected public schools within the Greater Accra Region and Central Region. The donations included school uniforms, school bags, shoes, mathematical sets, exercise books, textbooks, socks, and other scholastic essentials, aiming to empower these students and enable them to pursue academic excellence without the burden of lacking resources.
This year has been marked by the Smile Agenda Foundation’s continued commitment to supporting and uplifting communities through benevolent actions and impactful initiatives. These efforts have not only made a significant difference in the lives of the beneficiaries but have also contributed to building a brighter future for the less fortunate, through education, empowerment, and care.
